1.       The CC+I Decision Support System is a STANDARDS BASED PERFORMANCE monitoring and reporting system which supports operator, technician, supervision and management decisions regarding actions to be taken for production and quality improvement/optimization.

 2.       The system automatically CALCULATES PLANT STANDARDS by style and machine type for stops standards and mean time to repair standards, which are used to generate performance profiles.  If industrial or process engineering standards are available, they can be used instead of the system computed standards - - - - or a combination of both can be utilized.

 3.       The system incorporates easy to use STATISTICAL ANALYSIS techniques for measuring and properly interpreting results from current and/or historical data.  The amount of historical data available for analyses is simply a function of the size of the hard drive.

 4.       ANIMATED COLOR GRAPHICS greatly enhance and facilitate data conversion into meaningful information and timely interpretation.  On-line help is always there when needed.

 5.       The DESIGN IS MODULAR in nature, which provides the ultimate in system flexibility, enhancement and future growth possibilities.

 6.       The system utilizes a personal computer platform and is based on the most reliable and standard Microsoft Windows OPERATING SYSTEM and Microsoft SQL Relational Database.

 7.       The system is fully NETWORKABLE to other plant systems and business data computers using standard network protocols.

 8.       Machines equipped with “smart” serial interface cards allow the DSS to obtain more detailed performance and stop data, and also allow the use of the machine’s keypad for declarations.

 9.       All available electronic signals and data entry signals which the plant desires to be collected for process monitoring and/or control will be picked up by the system’s machine interface subsystems.  The subsystem is a unique integrated concept which utilizes a PLC/PC configuration to interface to the machine’s electronics.  Report data is provided in real-time via on-line PC workstations and display terminals.  Reporting information includes production, speeds, efficiencies, stop levels, cause, quality, etc.

 10.     The system is extremely “EASY TO USE.”  The user can simply “point-and-click” to self-explanatory icons, help screens or text words to view desired information in the form of text data or graphic trends/comparisons on specific screens or hard copy reports.  The system also supports MULTILINGUAL screens and reports.

 11.      ON-LINE HELP SCREENS are provided to assist users with an interpretation of all screens.
